FAQ - Christina Gowns

Formal wear tends to run small, so we always recommend taking your measurements.  If you do not measure, it will not fit!  Follow the guidelines below, and as always, you can contact us at 1-866-345-GOWNS(4696) and one of our experienced staff can help you.

Getting the perfect fit is easy!  Just follow these steps:

1.  Have someone do the measuring, do not measure yourself
2.  Use a flexible seamstress measuring tape (available at most drug stores).
3.  If in doubt, call Christina Gowns at 1-866-345-GOWN
4.  Make sure you are relaxed and arms down.  It helps to be wearing the same shoes and undergarments that you will be using with your gown.

Bust-Measure around fullest part in unpadded bra (DO NOT USE BRA SIZE!)
Waist-Measure approximately 1" above the belly button next to the skin
Hips-Measure around fullest part of hips
Hollow to Hem-Measure from the base of your Hollow (where your neck meets the shoulders there is a small indentation, begin there) down to the desired hemline.  Make sure you are wearing shoes of the correct height.

Take these measurements and compare to the correct size chart within the gown description, or call us at 1-866-345-GOWN(4696).  You will want to use the size that is the closest to your measurements.  If you are falling in between sizes, choose the larger size.  It is easier to alter in than to alter out.

Generally, unless otherwise stated, full length gowns run approximately 57".  Some gowns are available for additional length, and are indicated individually.  Please be sure to add the heel height when determining the length of your dress!

We have a complete In Stock category of dresses located in our secure warehouse, ready for immediate shipping.  These gowns can be seen by clicking HERE.

Your gown may need to be special ordered directly from the Designer.  If the Designer has it in stock, you will still receive it within 7-10 business days in the US.  If they do not have, then we will get approximate shipping times for your desired style.  This varies by Designer and style, and during Prom Season availability can change by the minute.

All of our gowns are listed on the website.  In order to keep our costs low, and pass the savings on to you, we do not have a printed catalog.

Ordering from Christina Gowns is easy.  You can place your order online, by telephone by calling us at 1-866-345-GOWN or fax to us at 1-302-335-0635.  We will be happy to assist you, and answer any questions.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover cards.  You can also choose Money Order and Layaway Plan.  With Money Order your payment must be received before we can ship any items.  In Stock dresses can not be held for payment, and it is possible your gown could sell before payment is received.  Layaway Orders require 60% of the total order paid prior to accepting your order, with the balance due before we can ship your items.

We are happy to offer Layaway for our orders.  When you choose this method, one of our specialists will contact you by telephone in order to set up initial payment arrangements of 60% of the order.  We will ship the order after the final 40% payment has been made.  To see our complete Layaway Policy,

Paypal is an easy, secure way of paying by secure credit card or check.  Just follow the instructions at the end of your order to finalize your Paypal payment.

If, for any reason, your order can not be filled as requested, we will refund your Paypal payment in full and notify you by telephone or email.

Christina Gowns obtains an authorization with your initial order.  We then check availability and compare that to your needed Date of Event.  This authorization places a hold on the funds in your account.  If we find we can not complete your order, this authorization is cancelled and no funds are transferred.  If we are able to complete your order, the transaction is completed and the funds are transferred at that time.

Event Date is the date you need the dress by.  Please allow time for alterations.  If we can not get your gown by your given Event Date, you will be notified by telephone or e-mail within 24-48 hours.

Absolutely!  We have to uphold higher standards to represent the top designers.  Our dresses are guaranteed authentic, and beautiful!

These web sites have become so common, and try to fool you into thinking you are buying a designer dress.  You can spot them a mile away if you know what to look for.

1.  Gowns are priced FAR below other website-if it looks too good to be true-IT IS!

2.  Gowns are offered in LOTS of colors and customized sizing.  Designers only offer their dresses in a couple of colors, and use their own standardized size chart.

If you are not sure, call us at 1-866-345-GOWN(4696) and we can help you avoid a very costly mistake.  These gowns are not the original designer dress, and the quality falls short of the Designer requirements.

Christina Gowns will not price match a knock off prom dress web site, it is not offering you the same item-FAR FROM IT!
